Unlike other types of tempering, induction tempering allows the process to be applied exclusively to a precise area that will need to be worked and which will therefore be subject to consumption.

The advantage of this technology is the fact that by treating only the area subject to wear, it confers the greater hardness permitted by the type of steel and cast iron utilised, while the remaining (non-tempered) parts maintain their original elasticity, thus avoiding any breakage of these parts that can occur when a higher hardness is conferred.
